Frequently Asked Questions

I’m new to Pilates, can I come and try a class and see how I get on?

Unless I am running a taster class, a 1-1 introductory session in the studio must be attended if you are a beginner wanting to join into an established class. You are welcome to try a class if you have previous experience in Pilates and you are looking to book onto a course.

How long is each course and what happens if I’m away for a week?

All classes are mat work based, which I run in five, six or seven week blocks with classes progressing each week when run in halls. If you are away then you will be eligible for a catch up class if prior notice has been given. You can catch up in any class within a week of your missed session, space permitting.

What levels are your classes and do you use equipment?

Classes range from beginner to intermediate level and are kept to a maximum of 12 people per class. I teach with a variety of small equipment including small balls, bands, toning circles and foam rollers.

How much is a course of classes and how do I pay?

A typical six week course in halls is £66. Due to the nature of the classes, terms must be booked up and paid in advance before the first session to reserve your space. If you are wanting to book onto a course that has already started then please contact me. Cash, cheque or BACS are all accepted methods of payment.

What do I need to wear and do I need to bring anything with me?

Comfortable, form fitted clothing is recommended (a t-shirt or tank top and leggings is perfect). Layers is good in case you get warm and we do Pilates barefoot. If you are new to Pilates then I do provide mats, however if you become regular then I do encourage you to bring your own. All small equipment is provided for you.
